Netnet: Netnet Launches Record Email Marketing Campaign
January 5, 2001
JAN 5, 2001, M2 Communications - London NETnet today launched the telecommunication industry's largest email marketing campaign targeting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The 300,000-strong mailing includes an e-brochure with hyperlinks to a web site where prospects can download more information and request an appointment by email, post or phone.
The campaign developed with LBM Direct Marketing is expected to yield three times the response levels of paper-based mailings at 25 percent of the cost.
All prospects have given permission to be emailed and personally provided their address details. LBM has built a definitive corporate database of three million actively trading UK companies, including the email addresses of approximately one million senior decision makers.
"Email is a great way of reaching decision makers - it's fast, uses a powerful multi-media communications tool and bypasses gate keepers who can prevent mail getting to the right desktop," said Ian Fishwick, World Access UK managing director. "We are delighted to be the first telecommunications company to use this pioneering technique on a mass scale and are confident that LBM will help us to deliver the response levels we expect."
LBM plan and execute business-to-business customer acquisition and retention programmes - delivering the client's message through the telephone, by letter, via fax or email. By understanding the unique business issues that drive individual markets and applying advanced data modeling techniques to its comprehensive database of UK companies, LBM can deliver a complete solution. The company is a leading exponent of multi-media targeting, designing web and email communications and delivering them to carefully pre-selected audiences. Self-serve channels allow customers and prospects to respond in a 24/7 environment at a fraction of the cost of more traditional means of communication.
NETnet provides a comprehensive portfolio of quality and cost-effective products including local, national and international fixed-line call services, mobile, calling card and teleservices, as well as Internet and e-commerce services. The company has invested over $200 million in one of the largest and most advanced intelligent networks in the UK and the rest of Europe, with digital switches in 23 major cities across the continent.
NETnet is wholly owned by World Access, one of the leading global telecommunications providers, with an annual turnover exceeding $2 billion.
