Jiffy Lube Opens USAdata Direct Mail Portal for Service Centers

April 3, 2001

Jiffy Lube International has created a direct mail portal with USAdata to allow Jiffy Lube service centers to execute direct mail campaigns inexpensively and efficiently, Jiffy Lube said yesterday.

USAdata, a provider of online applications that automate marketing processes, will offer service centers online access to applications and resources for customer prospecting as well as for current customer communications and promotions.

USAdata also coordinates target customer list generation, printing and mailing so that direct mail pieces are delivered to potential new customers within a few days.

More than 2,100 Jiffy Lube service centers will be able to order, customize and initiate a direct mail campaign to prospect for customers in minutes through the portal, according to both companies.

"Because USAdata's application is so user-friendly, more franchisees, as well as company stores, will be able to distribute targeted direct mail to new and existing customers," said Anne Tawney, senior vice president of marketing at Jiffy Lube International, Houston.

Jiffy Lube's direct mail portal will incorporate advanced features such as on-screen proofs of mailers and USAdata's PureProspects suppression technology, which filters out customer names from prospect lists in real time. USAdata's Direct Mail Portal and PureProspects technology are enabled with AbiliTec, which is Acxiom Corp.'s customer data integration software, and InfoBase Consumer and Business Lists.
