Cliotools Unveils Video E-Mail Product
May 30, 2001
Cliotools.com, a provider of e-communications solutions, yesterday introduced an e-mail product that allows end-users to open and view videos with a browser.
The technology, called Vmail, is in standard HTML format with Java-based technology. The videos also can be streamed using Windows Media or Quicktime or can be attached to the e-mail.
"The technology allows the user to choose the bandwidth that is most appropriate for them," said Markham Hislop, president/CEO of Cliotools, Calgary, Alberta.
Cliotools also features an InstantService link that allows end-users to communicate via e-mail with a customer service representative. Users are required to enter their names and e-mail addresses to communicate with a representative.
Cliotools has 250 small and medium-sized businesses as clients. It will charge companies $1,000 to $3,000, depending on their existing video capabilities.
