Convey launches new e-mail technology

Charlotte-based Convey Systems has launched its VIP Pass e-mail technology.

VIP Pass provides businesses with instant contact to customers via interactive e-mail.

Upon receipt of the e-mail, a customer or prospective client can activate a live call button and converse with the sender over the Internet.

"The beauty of the VIP Pass is its interactive nature," says Mike Sibley, the company's chief executive, in a prepared statement. Salespeople can send messages to customers which give the customers a way to respond immediately.

"Ultimately, the customer and salesperson will have a virtual, face-to-face interaction in real time," Sibley says.

Convey, formerly VideoGate.com, is a provider of Web-based online voice and video connections between businesses and customers, suppliers and partners.
