UPS Offers Return Labels by E-Mail
December 27, 2001
UPS introduced an electronic return label technology yesterday that lets businesses e-mail shipping labels to customers who want to return merchandise.
The service is available through UPS' Online WorldShip software, the company said.
Customers can click on a link in an e-mail to access the shipping label, print it onto a regular sheet of paper and send the package with the returned merchandise back using UPS.
The e-mail also contains information, including lists and maps, about UPS drop-off locations in their area, as well as a receipt.
