Australia to host email marketing summit

August 24, 2007

The first dedicated email marketing summit to be held in Australia has been scheduled to take place on the Gold Coast in November.

Presented by Vision 6, one of Australia’s leaders in email marketing strategy and product development, the Email Marketing Summit Australia 2007 will take place on November 1 and 2 and has been organised in response to huge demand from across Australia by both email marketing providers and business users.

The two-day Summit will bring together email marketing experts from around Australia with the aim of providing marketers, advertisers, business owners and other professionals with essential email marketing knowledge, direction and inspiration.

Vision 6 director, Mathew Myers, says his company has organised the Summit in response to overwhelming demand for accurate information, guidance and advice about email marketing. “Email marketing in Australia is growing at a phenomenal rate. When used strategically, email marketing can generate incredible results for individual products and for companies as a whole,” says Mr Myers.

“Australian businesses recognise the importance and value of quality email marketing. Yet this element of the communications mix is still very new. Many marketers, advertisers and other professionals simply haven’t got the expertise or the know-how to devise and implement successful email marketing strategies. Knowledge is very limited and patchy.”

The Email Marketing Summit includes more than 35 expert speakers who will give presentations and be involved in panel discussions across two days. Presenters have been drawn from a wide range of high profile EDM players including Fairfax Digital and M & C Saatchi.

Day One is geared towards larger firms, advertising agencies, EDM (email direct marketing) agencies and their clients. Participants will learn about practical EDM case studies, challenges faced by organisations working in this space and receive insights regarding where EDM is headed.

Day Two is designed to appeal to smaller business owners and marketers and examines email marketing from a direct user perspective. It will include practical examples of how to use email marketing effectively.

Australia has lagged behind other nations in terms of holding conferences dedicated to exploring and explaining email marketing. “There have been dedicated email marketing summits held in the UK and the USA for the last few years, and while Australian marketing and business conferences have been allocating timeslots to email marketing for a while now, this is the first dedicated email marketing summit to take place in this country,” says Mr Myers.

The Email Marketing Summit Australia 2007 will provide delegates with the opportunity to network with others in their field and to learn more about the effectiveness of email marketing through exposure to practical, real life examples.

Places at the Email Marketing Summit Australia 2007 are strictly limited. To register, please log on to www.EMSAustralia.com.au Registrations are available for Day One only ($295.00), Day Two only ($495.00), or for both days ($695.00).

Summit organisers, Vision 6 are global leaders in SMS and email marketing and database management solutions. Another of the company’s recent firsts is the publication of Australia’s original email marketing metrics report. Including data from over 60 million emails from 27,000 campaigns and accessed by thousands of companies across the country, this document helps marketers gauge and improve upon their own email marketing results.
